Along the Shores of Chichi Jima is a historical fiction novel based on the World War II wartime experiences of a bombing squadron.  This book was a personal project for Donald C. Dwyer as it chronicled the experiences of his uncle’s bombing squadron during World War II.  

Since this was a project so close to Mr. Dwyer he wanted to ensure the cover art was expressive of the men the story follows.  The photo featured is of his uncle’s actual squadron.
